If you have a large master bedroom with a high ceiling, you may be thinking that a super king size headboard is the best option for you—and you would probably be right. Many people wish they could use a larger headboard in their room since the bed is usually the focal point and the headboard is typically thought of as another piece of furniture, but in smaller rooms with smaller beds it would probably just swallow up the space. But for a large room and especially one with high ceilings, it’s even recommended that you choose a larger headboard so that it seems more in proportion to the space.

When you have a large bed, it’s a common mistake to use a lot of busy accessories, thinking this will fill the space. While some patterns are going to be visually appealing, too much will just clutter up the bed and the bedroom itself.
